This is one of my highly anticipated releases for the year.  This is the second book in the Dorothy Must Die series (which I ADORE).  I have been waiting for this release all year and have read every novella that Paige has published just to get a little taste of this twisted up Oz. GIMMIE GIMMIE!

I fell in love with the almost etched quality of this cover, and the plum color.  I don't know anything about the author, but the premise is interesting enough for me to give this one a shot

I don't really know anything about the whole Lizzie Borden story but I find it intriguing.  I was really hoping to snag a review copy of this one, but no luck.  Can't wait for it to come out!

Waiting on Wednesday: Flights and Chimes and Mysterious Times

OK, what is NOT perfect about this book?  First of all, the cover.  OMG SQUEEEE!!! The steampunk, the detail, the whispy ghost?  It is fantastic.  Then there is the title.  It begs you to open up and see what is inside AND IT RHYMES!  Even the author's name sounds like a J.K Rowling character.  I have never been a fan of Steampunk, but this book may just be the one that I finally love.

I was really intrigued by the premise behind this book.  The thought of having someone else make all of your decisions for you is at once liberating and terrifying.  I can't wait to see how it plays out for these characters.

I am not a fan of Bitterblue, but I am a fan of Seraphina and as the release date for Shadow Scale seems oh so far away, I am hoping Creature of Moonlight can help satisfy my dragon needs until then.  I also have a student who LOVES dragons and I am hoping that this will be a book that I can recommend to her.

I was drawn to this novel the minute that I saw the cover.  I love twisted fairy tales and The Swan Princess was one of my favorites as a child.  I can't wait to read this new take on an old classic.

Sleep No More is a psychological thrill ride that is sure to keep readers' hearts racing until the very end.

I have never actually read anything by Aprilynne Pike, but I have always heard great things about this author and wanted to give her work a try.  I am intrigued by the notion of an Oracle who can not only see the future, but manipulate it as well.

I love ivy covered houses.  As a young girl I begged my mother to stop trimming the ivy creeping up from our foundation so that mine could be a house like out of a book.  I have also always had a thing for books about witches and this one has the potential to live up their with my favorites.  I can't wait to Whipple's take on magic and curses.

 I haven't heard much about this book, or about its author.  But, I am excited for a debut novel with what sounds to be a great mystery.  I am intrigued by the secret they share and how Sophie's addiction will play out in the plot.

I LOVED School for Good and Evil and I can't wait to jump into that world again.  I mean, just look at that cover.  How can you NOT pick it up?  I am seriously hoping for a lot more villain action this time, especially if that involves Sophie's roomates: the three unforgettable witches.  I also have high hopes that the title means the princes are taking a backseat and the girls/women are going to be the real heros in this fairy tale.

Kelley Armstrong has always been a favorite author of mine.  I read her entire Women of the Otherworld series when I was younger and I am currently watching the TV show based on one side of that series: Bitten.

I didn't enjoy her earlier YA series nearly as much as the adult books, but I am hoping that by the time we got to Sea of Shadows, all the kinks have been worked out.  It also seems, based on the synopsis, to be a very different series from those that she has written before and I am hoping that works in her favor.

This one had me from the moment I read the title.  First, I am a sucker for long titles.  Second, being a teacher means that I have a special place in my heart for stories set in schools and third, poetry.  Teenage boys writing poetry!  TEENAGE BOYS WRITING POETRY AS A FORM OF PROTEST!  This one had me sold before I even read that it features a gerbil named Bacconaise (which in itself would have been a reason to read the book).

I don't know a lot about this book, but I am very intrigued by the idea of a story told on both sides of the Berlin Wall.  I have not read anything by Beth Kephart before, but she seems to be an accomplished writer and I am hoping for big things from this story.  

Waiting on Wednesday: The Cracks In The Kingdom

A Corner of White was definitely a building book for me.  It started off slowly, and a little oddly, but by the end I was entranced by the world building and the story.  I am hoping that Cracks in the Kingdom starts off where the first book left off so that I can get back that feeling of wonder and magic from the first line.  I also have a student who is in love with this series and also can't wait to get her hands on this book as soon as I am finished.

I am beyond excited for the conclusion to this trilogy.  The False Prince is one of those books that I can suggest to any student and I have not yet found one who didn't like it.  In fact, several kids are already begging me to finish my ARC already, so that they can get their hands on it.

 I listened to the first two books in this series on audio and they were fan-fricking-tastic.  I expect no less from this one.  I mean, just look at that cover - how phenomenal is that? Can't wait to see the three girls come together and wreak some havoc on Levana's evil ass.

I cannot even explain to you how excited I am for this book.  I have had it bookmarked for ages, I have read the short story prequel, I have requested the ebook (still waiting to hear from you NetGalley!).  I have read all of Allen's other books and they are a regular go to gift for me when a friend has a birthday or just needs a pick me up.  It is simply a crime that I cannot read this book yet.  MUST HAVE NOW!
